January on Hvar feels different, but that’s to be expected. It’s when the island fully settles into winter mode and life takes on a pace that suits the chilled-out season. 

Every season has its standouts and 2025 was no different. 

Winter on Hvar isn’t quiet, it just changes key. The ferries come less often, the sea stays blue and the cafés stay warm. And no one’s rushing anywhere. 

Hvar is a place that both moves you and changes you. Its scenery does not just decorate a postcard but breathes something steady into you. That pulse of nature isn’t a background for us, either. It’s the very heart of what we do. Because when you love a place so deeply, you begin to feel its needs as your own.

There are places where time feels stretched. Places where the sun lasts a little longer over the sea. Places where the air seems to breathe with you and life slows to the ripples in the waves. Places that call you to simply be. Hvar is that place.

Come October, the heat of the summer has faded into something quieter, older and more meaningful. It’s the season of the olive harvest, when Hvar changes tempo. 

Every island tells its story through the people who shape it — the dreamers, explorers, artists and inventors whose work transcends their time. 

On the final evening of August, as summer began its slow retreat, the UNESCO-protected Stari Grad plain transformed into a stage unlike any other. Beneath the vast Hvar sky, among vineyards rooted for over 2000 years, the very first Asti Faros concert unfolded. At this event, heritage, nature and music became one in the most beautiful way.
