There is more than one way to stay on Hvar island, and there are a handful of villas in our collection that we know you won’t be able to shake.
This selection of villas stays with you for different reasons. Some are built for larger groups, others for smaller stays. Some come with direct access to the water, others with views that pull you outside. It could be a spot in the centre of town, steps from the energy of the evening or further out, into pine forests, open land or small villages.
Across the island, these are the villas that guests never seem to forget.
Villa Eos near Humac

High above the southern side of Hvar, near the village Humac, Villa Eos sits on 30,000m² of open land. It has four bedrooms for up to ten guests. It comprises a cluster of early 20th-century stone houses, connected by courtyards and paths through olive trees and lavender.
The centre is a large enclosed courtyard with a long dining table and a wood-fired oven. The infinity pool looks out across the island and sea beyond. There’s also a private tennis court and additional guest spaces. It feels removed, but not cut off from the rest of the island. This is a house for those who want to spend time outside.
Villa Phaunos near Vrboska

Set within 10,000m² of pine forest, just above a pebble beach, Villa Phaunos is built almost entirely in glass. The landscape is forever present. You’ll always notice the trees, light and movement outdoors.
The house runs across a single level, with all rooms opening onto a continuous terrace that wraps around the property. There are four bedrooms for up to eight guests, each with its own bathroom. A large living and dining space sits at the front, facing the sea. The beach is a short walk below where you’ll find loungers and shade. It’s not remote but it feels like it.
Villa Nereus in Hvar Town

Set right by the sea in Majerovica, just a short walk from the centre of Hvar Town, Villa Nereus is all about scale and direct access to the water. A private float sits below the house, with pebble beaches and boat links to the Pakleni islands close by.
The villa spans several levels, with terraces at every turn. Its nine bedrooms can host up to sixteen guests. The infinity pool faces the open sea, while an outdoor kitchen and dining area sit beneath a pergola and mature pine trees. It’s large, layered and detailed. It’s built for groups looking for space without leaving the coastline.
Villa Lyra in Ivan Dolac

Set directly above the southern coast, Villa Lyra keeps the focus on the sea. Every room faces it. Every space opens towards it.
There are three bedrooms for up to six guests, two with a shared balcony, all on the upper floor. Downstairs, the house opens into one continuous living, dining and kitchen area, leading straight onto a terrace with outdoor dining and a barbecue.
No, there is no pool here, because a stone path leads down to the sea below with several beaches nearby. We know you’ll adjust to that quickly.
Villa Thalassa in Basina

Directly on the water in a small cove near Basina, Villa Thalassa is all about proximity. In just a few steps from the terrace, you’re at the sea.
The house sits within 2500m² of a Mediterranean garden, with paths leading through pine, agave and rosemary down to the shore. Six guests settle into three bedrooms. The living space opens fully towards the water, with glass walls extending the view.
Several terraces wrap around the house, too. There are dining areas, shaded corners and a stone fireplace. Everything leads outside, and every day revolves around the Adriatic.
Villa Hermes Green near Hvar Town

Set just outside Hvar Town, Villa Hermes Green moves across several levels, always orienting you back towards the water. Nearly every room opens to a balcony or terrace, so the sea is less a view and more a constant presence in the background of daily life.
A pool terrace, shaded lounge corners and a pebble beach just below the house create a natural sequence from morning to night. When you’re here, you won’t need to worry about anything else.
Villa Heracles in Sveta Nedjelja

There’s nothing gradual about arriving at Villa Heracles. The landscape takes over immediately and everything seems to drop away except the horizon.
This villa is built into a cliffside that honours its spectacular surroundings. Three bedrooms are on the main level, two more above, each with its own bathroom and outlook towards the sea.
The living spaces open directly onto a wide terrace, where the infinity pool dissolves into the water beyond. Outside, you’ll find multiple terraces that shift with sun and shade throughout the day and plenty of space for alfresco meals. Did we mention there’s a proper fireplace, too?
Villa Theia in Hvar Town

Behind thick stone walls in the centre of Hvar Town, Villa Theia hides its scale well. From the street, you sense history more than anything else.
Inside, it opens into courtyards and layered spaces. The main house dates back to 1612, with three bedrooms upstairs and two on the ground floor. A connected Gothic wing adds another dimension entirely with a wellness area, indoor pool and wine cellar, giving the house a kind of dual personality.
An outdoor pool sits among stone walls and greenery with a retractable roof that extends the season beyond summer. From above, you can catch glimpses of the harbour and Fortica, but inside, it remains hushed. Theia carries its history lightly and is built for how people actually live today.
Villa Aion in Zastražišće

Stone sets the tone at Villa Aion. Originally built in 1888 and reworked in 2022, the house keeps its structure honest. The main building holds two bedrooms upstairs, while two separate stone houses sit just beyond the courtyard.
Everything gathers around the outdoor space. A heated pool, jacuzzi and long dining area with a grill form the centre of daily life here. It’s not oversized or dramatic. It’s balanced, and that’s exactly what makes it so memorable.
