About 100 meters from a wonderful pebble beach, fully covered in glass and in the middle of a pine forest, Villa Phaunos is the dream of every lover of contemporary architecture, as well as wild, pristine nature.

Seventy percent of the villas on Hvar that we offer today have been built in the last 10 years since the start of the Villas Hvar project. In our collection, we have incredibly beautiful buildings in incredibly beautiful locations, and we are happy to be a part of the luxurious Hvar story from the very beginning. Several villa owners motivated us to start the Villas Hvar project in 2012 because we created stories that were different from other tourist stories in Hvar. Olga and her husband Veljko belong to the motivating owners; it is not easy to compete with the style, vision, and creativity of this married couple, and their facilities are definitely the highlights of Hvar's private accommodation. It is also interesting that none of their three properties for rent is located in the town of Hvar, which makes us especially happy. We are glad that this year they completed the newest, and our personal favourite house in the Villas Hvar collection called Villa Phaunos. Phaunos continues the wonderful story of returning to nature that the owners started long ago with their first villa Eos.
Despite being located in the middle of pristine nature, Phaunos is only a 10-minute drive from the first town, Vrboska, and half an hour's drive from the town of Hvar. You can also reach Vrboska via a narrow gravel road through the forest. In that direction, to the left of the property, Vrboska is only a 2-minute drive away, and you can also walk 1.5 km if you're up for a walk in the nature. In any case, regardless of the direction you come from, it will take a 1.3 km gravel road drive to reach the property.
Nestled amidst breath-taking surroundings, villa Phaunos, the tree glass house, offers a truly immersive experience. Situated in the middle of a vast property of 10.000m2, you'll be treated 24/7 to stunning views of the natural landscapes that surround you. The first thing we saw when we went to check villa Phaunos was a beautiful bird just sitting on the tree across the living room, enjoying nature. It seemed like we were in the middle of David Attenborough’s documentary, and it was an unforgettable and a very gentle moment.
In general, when you step inside the villa, you will discover a spacious and modern sanctuary, yet connected to nature every step of the way. Spanning an impressive 600m2, villa Phaunos boasts 4 luxurious bedrooms, each accompanied by its own private bathroom. The house itself covers 400m2 plus 200m2 of the outside terrace in the shape of a sidewalk encircling the house. The ground floor layout ensures easy accessibility for all guests, making it convenient for everyone to enjoy the space, with enough privacy if wanted and needed.
The fully equipped kitchen in the villa is a culinary enthusiast's dream. Complete with top-of-the-line appliances and all the essentials you may need, it provides the perfect setting for creating delectable meals.
The stylish and comfortable living room beckons you to unwind and relax. A grand table for 14 people awaits, creating the ideal space for shared meals and engaging conversations while enjoying the view of different Mediterranean plants and pine trees that surrounds the villa.
The arrangement of the rooms in the villa is just perfect. On the front side, the one closer to the sea, you’ll find a large living room with an open plan kitchen and dining room, while in the back, there is an entrance hall from which you can enter two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, both with shower trays. The next two bedrooms are a separate accommodation unit you reach when you pass an open corridor, which both connects and separates them from the first part of the house. Those two bedrooms also have matrimonial beds and respective en-suite bathrooms. All rooms are glazed, but thick curtains provide privacy when needed. All the bedrooms have access to the terrace or the aforementioned sidewalk that surrounds the villa.
A piece of information that is equally important - the size of the matrimonial beds in all the rooms is 200x200. Villa Phaunos is suitable for 8 people, but additional children are welcome.
Stay cool and comfortable throughout your stay with individual air conditioning units in every kitchen and bedroom. Regardless of the outside temperature, you can create your ideal indoor climate and enjoy a restful night's sleep.
In this digital age, staying connected is also very important. That's why villa Phaunos is equipped with high-speed Starlink internet, ensuring a seamless online experience for all your needs, whether business or fun.
Once you’ve checked the web, step outside and experience the wonders of nature including a wonderful pebble beach, as private as beaches can be in Croatia – so, not private, but dislocated and it will never be crowded as most of the beaches on the island during peak season. You will have your own loungers on the beach, cushions, and sun umbrellas, just a stone's throw away from the villa. Bask in the sun, take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters, or simply unwind amidst the soothing sounds of the sea waves. If this is not a perfect holiday, we don’t know what is.
Apart from everything we have listed, the villa is brimming with lovely details, from designer furniture to lighting, faucets, vases, jars. The colors are perfectly coordinated, as are the materials in every square meter of the villa. In the 2023 season, many of the walls are still white canvases waiting for their painter, and a swimming pool is also on the docket for 2024.
