Just like Harmonia, the immortal goddess of harmony and concord, villa Harmonia has absolutely everything in harmony and concord – from location and design to the colours and materials dominating the villa. Everything is in consonance, oozing peace and beauty; everything is as it always should be.

Villa Features

South facing and in one of Hvar’s most sought after villages, Zavala, with the best beaches on the island, Harmonia can be found; beautiful, luxurious and authentic 19th century Dalmatian farmhouse with stunning panoramic sea views.

In short, villa Harmonia covers about 350m2.

It has 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a kitchen, a sitting room and a laundry room.

The access to the villa contains parking spaces for 2 vehicles, with a gate leading to the pool on the left and the sundeck area to the right. There is also a bistro table and chair set in a charming stone corner of the house, which is accessed via a staircase from here. You then enter a courtyard with a large dining table with chairs, and to the left below, there is a garden, all with a sea view.

To the right, you enter a former stable, which is now a bedroom with a superking sized bed (180 cm). The walls of this bedroom are fully made of stone; it has a sea view, an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and a wetroom shower area, and a gallery space comprising of two armchairs and a coffee table providing a restful, reading space.

To the left of the courtyard, there are storage and pool maintenance rooms; several steps to the right take you to the laundry room, which is equipped with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Further to your left, you will find a cottage comprising another bedroom with a superking bed (180 cm) and an en suite bathroom, with a wet room shower, and yet another beautiful sea view.

This area, as well as all the other spaces in Villa Harmonia, is beautifully decorated, with lots of lovely and heartwarming details, and the kitchen is superbly equipped.

A staircase leads down to a plateau with a romantic bench and an entrance/exit to the villa.

From the lower terrace, 14 stairs lead to the upper terrace of the main house, which offers yet another outdoor seating area with amazing, breathtaking views of the blue sea and the surrounding islands. Harmony may have peaked exactly at this place.

From the terrace, you enter the hallway; to the left, there is a bathroom with a wet room; straight on, you’ll see a bedroom with a king size bed (160 cm); and to your right, you’ll find the sitting room with a wood burning stove, sofa, TV, and the inevitable sea view.

Fourteen stairs will take you to the upper floor; to your left, you’ll find the children’s room with two separate single beds (90 cm), which can be used by adults as well – it offers a dreamy view and has an en suite bathroom.

To your right, you’ll see a bedroom with two double beds (140 cm) and a bathroom with a tub. The second door of the bedroom leads to another terrace with further outdoor seating and a hammock, a lovely old well, cascade stone terraces, and the surrounding greenery. This terrace leads to the main courtyard, where we started from, bringing the tour of this exceptional house to a close.

Harmonia is dominated by stone, wood, iron – natural materials. The colour palette comprises stone grays, day-time whites, sea blues, wood browns, iron blacks. Details add a lovely touch of romance to all the spaces inside. Almost everything has been custom-made for this villa – the kitchen, the dining room and terrace tables, lights, wardrobes, pillows and blankets, and the towels and bathrobes even carry the house emblem… The kitchen appliances are made by Smeg, the bathroom equipped by Villeroy&Boch.

Nothing in this house is there by chance – and neither are you.

Let us leave you to experience the harmony of Harmonia on your own.

P.S.

Villas Hvar has a very special bond with this particular place. One of the most beautiful properties on Hvar has the following story... The owners came to the island of Hvar for a summer holiday a few years ago. They rented a villa with Villas Hvar, and they very soon fell in love with the island. They came again that year, and again next year. And again. And again. For years! One day, now the owner of the villa in the photo, called me on the phone and said: "Majda, we bought property on Hvar since we want to have our own house there; will you rent it?" That day I was very happy. Today I am even happier, as the stone house they bought and renovated is definitely a sight for sore eyes. Every little detail, all the materials, colors and the energy of the place, everything is just perfectly combined. Love the fact the owners were our clients for years, and love the fact Hvar has one more brilliant property which contributes to the natural beauty of the island. When true, love IS definitely contagious.
