Today we present you the Villa Astraeus
Astraeus Villa nests comfortably on a hill above the small village of Ivan Dolac, on the sunniest part of the island of Hvar.
Villa Astraeus was completed in 2013, with the renovation of two old stone houses. The owners of Villa Astraeus are primarily cosmopolitan, but also real estate aesthetes that can be matched by few. During the renovation of the house, they hired the famous Croatian architect, Duje Kaliterna, whose creativity has made Astraeus Villa the masterpiece it is today.
The Villa kept its gentle Dalmatian image with minimal impact on the natural beauty of the area.
The cascading estate stretches over 1250m2, with two stone houses: a spacious main house covering 115m2 and a compact guesthouse of 40m2. The outside living area between the main house and the guesthouse is comfortably equipped with a summer kitchen, a sundeck and the terrace ending in an eternity pool.
The ground floor of the main house contains a kitchen and a living room, which in the old days used to be a wine-producing plant, evidenced by the living room floor tiles shaped like a canal.
The first floor of the main house has a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and bathtub, another smaller bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and shower, and a lovely terrace.
The guesthouse, on the other hand, was designed as a small, comfortable studio apartment. It has a kitchen with a living room fitted with a comfortable two-seater sofa and a bathroom. Each room on the estate is well equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV and a premium sound system for your enjoyment.
A breath-taking view of the endless blue sea extends from the stone cascade terraces of the house. It is hard to imagine that this kind of Zen is only a 40-minute drive away from the vibrant nightlife of the town of Hvar.
The owners have put a lot of effort into landscaping the grounds of the villa by planting different kinds of authentic plants, coupled with an irrigation system ensuring the plants are sufficiently watered during the hot Hvar summers. The grounds are alive with the green abundance of a typical Mediterranean landscape, with breath-taking views of the surrounding islands and beyond.
An amazing experience indeed.
