When you think of country life, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? For us, it’s mental relaxation. Genuine rest. A retreat! Iris will provide you with just that – healthness, true resting, a retreat for your body and soul in the very heart of Hvar island.
Villa Features
The construction of Iris began in 2009 and was finally completed in 2022. It has 350m² of interior and approximately 250m² of exterior, so you definitely won’t lack space during your holiday.
As soon as you open the door of Villa Iris, you’ll find yourself in the entrance hallway. To the right is a small toilet, and across from it is the first bedroom, 23m² in size, with a 4m² bathroom. This room has a matrimonial bed (180x200), and the bathroom has a shower tray.
From the hallway, stairs lead down to a 32m² living room that opens onto a terrace. The terrace features a covered area of 22m² and an uncovered area of 5m², as well as a fireplace. On the same level you’ll find a 22m² kitchen with a charming little 5m² balcony. The view from the living room through several windows is so fantastic that it undoubtedly rivals the TV screen located next to the window.
From the entrance hallway, stairs lead to a mezzanine level, where there is a bedroom with a gallery and a bathroom. The room is 20m² with a bed measuring 80x200 (extendable to 160x200), and the gallery is 13m², containing two beds of 90x200. The bathroom is 4.5m² and has a bathtub. This entire area is primarily designed for children but can also work for adults.
From the mezzanine level, stairs lead up to the top and final floor, the attic. Here you’ll find the master bedroom, 20m² in size, with a 6m² balcony (offering another beautiful view), a 15m² bathroom, and a 7m² walk-in closet. This bedroom features a matrimonial bed (180x200). The bathroom has a freestanding bathtub and a shower tray.
Returning to the kitchen level, stairs lead down to the lower floor, where you’ll find a 13m² massage room and a 14m² bedroom with access to a terrace (a small, beautiful courtyard) measuring 6m². This bedroom has a matrimonial bed (180x200). There is also a separate 5m² bathroom with a shower tray and a 7m² hallway. From here, stairs lead to a 24m² chill room featuring another small kitchen, a large sofa, a TV, darts, a stereo, a 4m² bathroom with a shower, and access to the terrace with the pool.
Villa Iris has a significant number of stairs, so it is not recommended for those who dislike them. The villa also houses several valuable pieces of artwork on the walls, so we kindly ask that you treat the property with the care of a good guest. Natural materials such as wood and stone dominate Iris, alongside warm colors and soft materials in the interior. Everything in the villa is unpretentious, yet very comfortable, relaxing, cozy, and welcoming.
Stepping out onto the 17m² terrace with a 25m² pool, your view extends to the sea, the town of Jelsa, the picturesque village of Vrisnik, and the surrounding romantic green hills. It’s a sight for sore eyes. Around the pool, there is an additional 70m² of space plus 100m² of land featuring fig and pomegranate trees. If you come at the right time of year, we wish you bon appétit! In the small garden, depending on the season, you’ll also find fresh vegetables planted by the owners. If you need more, the neighbors grow organic produce and will gladly sell you any surplus. Additionally, you can make an omelet with eggs from the owner’s free-range chickens. What a joy! This is what we call win-win tourism – a kind of tourism that brings joy to both the island’s visitors and its locals.
