Villa Epimetheus is situated in the heart of the village of Vrbanj, and the village of Vrbanj is situated in the heart of the island of Hvar. It is not by accident that so many hearts are mentioned here. Namely, owners also invested their hearts into this property. The village of Vrbanj is away from the big tourist hustle and bustle, but everything you may need, like romantic and calm beaches, supermarkets and cultural events, can be found in the immediate vicinity.

About the villa in plain and cold numbers – Epimetheus has around 180 square meters of living space and it is surrounded by 350 square meters of garden. It was built in 1872 and renovated from 2021 until 2023.

The description of the property is as follows.

Through a hand-carved wooden gate you enter a courtyard planted with fragrant herbs and citrus trees. A stone staircase leads to a small terrace and to the first floor of the house. To the right and left of a narrow hallway, there are 3 bedrooms and 1 big bathroom. The original floor planks, doors, windows, and beams were retained in all bedrooms and the hallway.

In the first room, there is a comfortable 180x200 cm matrimonial bed and a wardrobe.

The second room is also equipped with a wardrobe and a variable bed that can be made up as either 1 double (180x200 cm) or 2 single beds (90x200 cm).

In the third room, there are 2 bunk beds for 4 people. Just to note – some climbing skills are required for the upper beds! It also has a small table and 2 cupboards for luggage and clothes.

All 3 bedrooms share a spacious bathroom with 2 natural stone sinks, a walk-in rain shower, and a WC.

A steep wooden staircase takes you from the first floor to the attic. There is a large, bright room with a 180x200 cm matrimonial bed, a desk, a wardrobe, and a private bathroom with a shower tray, a natural stone sink, and a WC. From the windows you have a stunning view over the sea and the island of Brač.

The heart of the house is on the ground floor, where the wine was once pressed. The old konoba is now a living room, dining room, and kitchen, but can also be converted into a yoga room or a creative workshop with just a few simple steps.

It can be reached from the courtyard, the garden or via a narrow spiral staircase from the first floor. A large table on wheels, made from recycled teakwood, with comfortable leather chairs invites you to dine and chat, play, and do crafts.

During summer this room stays pleasantly cool due to the thick stone walls, while in winter, it can be heated with underfloor heating and a wood stove.

A wooden mosaic and terrastone floor in combination with the original natural stone walls, furniture made from natural materials, hand-forged, large glass doors, and antique elements conjure up an inviting feel-good atmosphere.

Another, third bathroom with a shower tray and 2 toilets, as well as a sink and a washing machine, is on the ground floor.

Every room in the villa has air-conditioning.

Right next to the main house there is a small house that can accommodate two people. It has a double bed and another bathroom. It's currently in the middle of renovation and it will be finished by the beginning of the 2024 season. We will add photos of the small house as soon as possible.

An imaginatively designed garden in flowing shapes, with several terrace areas made of marble mosaic, an 8x4 meter saltwater pool with a counter-swimming system, an outdoor shower, fountain and Mediterranean plants, surrounds and caresses the house. Outdoor high-quality, comfortable lounge furniture is a wonderful place to relax.

A large gas grill is also available to the villa guests. A natural stone wall protects against prying eyes towards the village, while the view over the landscape to the sea remains clear and creates a feeling of space.

There is also a private parking space for 2 vehicles. More parking spaces if needed can be found nearby in the village.

All in all, you will be happy here.
