You know about those holiday places that call you back over and over again?

There are certain homes that become more than just holiday addresses. They turn into personal retreats that stay with you forever.

Guests return to them year after year, drawn by something deeper than the view (though the views are spectacular) or the pool (though the pools are sublime). They return because these places have a way of settling deep into their soul.

With exactly this in mind, we’re bringing you seven villas that our guests can’t resist coming back to, over and over again.

Hermes Blue, for those who want it all

Hermes Blue is what we like to call a benchmark on the island of Hvar. Perched just 20 metres from the sea, it offers that rare combination of peaceful seclusion and proximity to the pulse of Hvar Town, just a gentle 15-minute stroll away.

Head inside and clean lines meet soft luxury across 547 square metres of space. Five bedrooms await, each one framed by the island’s greenery. Outside, there’s a pool with Pakleni island vistas, a dining terrace for ten and lounging corners designed for long conversations and lazy afternoons. Villa Hermes Blue is all about those tiny, perfect details that most villas forget.

Hermes Green, serenity in every shade

Hermes Green is essentially Hermes Blue’s twin, but it flaunts its own flair. This is a villa where green is entirely a mood. Surrounded by the island’s thick pine trees and Mediterranean flora, Hermes Green breathes calm.

The design is sleek and contemporary, yet the villa feels grounded and relaxed. Like Hermes Blue, it’s steps from the sea and close enough to Hvar Town to wander in for dinner or anything you may need. The terrace, pool and sun decks are set against a backdrop of deep blue and lush green. This is where guests come to exhale, slow down and come back to themselves.

Astraeus, where architecture meets the stars

High above the village of Ivan Dolac, where the sun flickers a little longer than anywhere else on the island, you’ll find Astraeus. Born from two ancient stone houses, Astraeus was reimagined by Croatian architect Duje Kaliterna, whose touch preserved its Dalmatian charm while adding contemporary grace.

You’ll find three spacious bedrooms that host eight guests. The property itself cascades gently down the hillside, from the main house to the guesthouse, passing terraces, a sun deck and an infinity pool that blurs into the horizon. There’s even a summer kitchen with a built-in barbecue for meals under the stars. It’s where guests return for a taste of something timeless.

Glaucus, the sea’s own retreat

Glaucus is for the sea lovers. Just 50 metres from the emerald-blue Adriatic near Jelsa, with a pine forest at its back and the glimmer of the sea out front, this villa feels like the island’s best-kept secret.

Built in 1972 and lovingly refurbished in 2019, it offers four bedrooms for up to eight guests. The pool is no ordinary pool. It features massage jets so your body can unwind as your mind drifts into holiday mode. With a summer kitchenette tucked behind the house and the sea greeting you each morning, Glaucus has the gift of making you feel both at home and entirely away.

Poseidon, a soft kind of grandeur

Poseidon stands in Vrboska, a quiet town with stone alleys, sleepy harbours and just enough restaurants to keep your evenings interesting. The villa itself is a masterpiece of Croatian architecture, originally built by Kazimir Ostrogović in 1960 and later redesigned by Oskar Fleischer.

The numbers tell the story: a 1000-square-meter estate, an infinity pool, three balconies and an endless view of the sea. The stone beach is right in front and a family-friendly pebble beach is just 20 metres away. It’s a villa for ten guests that feels grand but never ostentatious.

Hera, the goddess in the hills

Hera sits high in the hills above Zaraće, wrapped in stone walls and draped in lavender-scented air. Her terraces offer vistas that stop time. Her garden is a labyrinth of paths leading to secret corners, ancient bread ovens and shaded places to read, nap or sip something cool.

There’s a small illuminated pool, a fountain that trickles like your grandmother’s favourite lullaby and a sense of peace that’s hard to put into words. Guests come to Hera for the view but return for the feeling. It’s a quiet, almost sacred connection to the land and perfect for groups of six who are looking for something more.

Geras, where history mingles with high design

In the heart of Jelsa, Geras waits behind old stone walls. Built in 1900 and transformed in 2013, it’s part palace, part home and luxurious without ever being cold.

Bold design meets Dalmatian heritage inside, where four bedrooms effortlessly flow. Outside, a courtyard pool sparkles under the island sun and a sauna promises the ideal end to a beach day. With room for up to twelve guests, Geras is where families gather, friends reunite and memories are made time after time.

These are the villas that always stay with you. Sooner or later, you’ll find yourself coming back, too.
