Villa Phorcys is a completely renovated old stone house that once belonged to the owner’s ancestors. The renovation was completed in 2024. This stunning heritage home with hypnotic blue and green views has been crafted to honor the past while embracing modernity. As soon as the door opens, you'll be greeted by a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary charm.
Phorcys in numbers: the main house consists of a ground floor covering 56.65m2 and an upper floor of 39.50m2. The front terrace is 15m2 in size, while the second terrace is 21m2 in size. The smaller house covers 9m2.
The main house comprises two spacious bedrooms, each furnished with a queen-sized bed and accompanied by two bathrooms equipped with shower trays and toilets. Additionally, it features a kitchen, a living room, and a terrace complete with a grill and a 3x2 small pool that offers a stunning view of the sea. The smaller house includes a bedroom with a single bed that can be extended to accommodate two.
Conveniently positioned, the house is equipped with three A/C units, one that cools both the living room and the kitchen, and two units for the respective bedrooms in the main house. The third bedroom in the smaller house has a ventilator. The fully equipped kitchen features a large dining table, a refrigerator, an electric stove and oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, an espresso machine, a toaster, and a complete set of glasses, cutlery, and plates.
In the living room, you'll find a couch, a 55-inch OLED 4K Ambilight TV, a cabinet with wine glasses, a wine fridge, and reading lights. Both the kitchen and the living room share an east-facing wall made of the same stone as the exterior of the house, and each boasts a built-in fireplace with windows overlooking their respective areas.
The house boasts two delightful terraces. The first, which leads to the main door with a keypad-locked entry, offers a breathtaking view of the sea and nearby islands, as well as access to the rooftop terrace with two sunbeds, perfect for soaking up the sun. The second terrace, nestled on the eastern side, is ideal for enjoying morning coffee before the day heats up. Equipped with sunbeds, a large umbrella, and an electric grill, it's the perfect spot for outdoor dining against the backdrop of the stunning vista. There is a mini pool as well, where you can occasionally take a dip for refreshment.
Situated between the two largest towns on the island, Hvar and Stari Grad, the village of Zaraće offers guests easy access to bustling island life while providing a peaceful retreat to return to. From the villa, guests can enjoy a stunning view extending all the way to the island of Vis. With only a few friendly inhabitants, the village adds to the tranquility of this hidden gem.
A quick 3-minute car ride will take you to Hvar’s famous beaches, Molo Zaraće and Velo Zaraće, where you can relax completely (especially in low season) away from the crowds of Hvar town. Free parking is provided so you can rest assured your car is safely parked, which is also an advantage that many authentic stone houses for rent in Hvar town often do not have since they are located in the centre.
Villa Phorcys is bathed in opulent natural light and offers panoramic views from every corner. It is a perfect, peaceful getaway. Beautiful Mediterranean stone walls, warm and charming interiors, natural materials, hypnotic views of the sea, and the endless blue horizon make this place truly unique. We saw this villa first time in April 2024 and we said YES to it immediately, since we have a good hunch you will be very happy here.
