If you are ready for a vacation in a location reminiscent of an outstanding movie set, for a movie that will depict the most beautiful Mediterranean love story with a happy ending, then you are ready for the Villa Leto. This is the first villa on the island that boasts the untouched ambience of the Mediterranean as it once was, magically beautiful, here locked in space and time.

Villa Features

Villa Leto is a four-star villa located in Malo Grablje village, one of the charming ethno-eco villages on Hvar island in Croatia. The villa was originally a part of an old stone family house that dated back to the early 20th century – 1907, to be more exact – and it was completely renovated and updated in 2020 by a family member.

Villas Hvar is especially grateful to all the owners who renovate old stone houses in an authentic way and thus allow the spirit of our hardworking, dedicated ancestors to live on in this area. We also love modern architecture, but our hearts always skip a beat when it comes to houses like these, beautiful family stories like this one.

Located in a unique place – an abandoned village of deserted stone houses surrounded with stone cliffs and wild, pristine nature – Villa Leto offers a very special holiday experience. The last residents left this place in 1950, in search of a better life than the one they had, which had not at all been easy because it was based on farming and animal husbandry. Villa Leto is thus located in the middle of a historical narrative and is itself part of the rich history of the island of Hvar. The main town, Hvar, is located only 6 km away from the Villa, while the nearest beach and bay, Milna, is 1 kilometer from the village of Malo Grablje.

Villa Leto is a rustic stone house of 220m2, with an amazing and spacious outside area with a backyard and terrace. The outside area covers approximately 500m2. Some top amenities of Villa Leto are the outside heated pool, inside jacuzzi, and sauna. On the terrace of the villa, you’ll find a beautiful heated pool (5.5 x 6.5 m2), surrounded by 8 sun loungers, typical Mediterranean nature, and a beautiful view.

The exteriors and interiors of the villa fit perfectly into both the powerful and romantic historical story in the middle of which Leto is located. Everything is full of natural but strong materials, solid stone and wood. On the other hand, the interiors are powerful, but at the same time very romantic, with gentle shapes and colors, so that the entire fairy Leto leaves the impression of a love nest from some other times, when virgins behaved in a feminine manner, had long, flowy hair, and wore white innocent dresses. The men still rode horses, fought for their maidens, and occasionally serenaded them.

Since those times have gone never to return again, instead of a stable, on the ground floor of the villa you can find a small gym, Jacuzzi, and sauna. There is also a fully equipped bathroom with a shower and laundry amenities, as well as a storage room.

When you get to the first floor, you’ll find the fully equipped main kitchen that is connected with a rustically decorated living room and a dining room with 8 seats. On this floor, there is also one en-suite bathroom with a shower.

On the second floor, you will find the main deluxe bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The main bedroom consists of a matrimonial bed (160x200), an LCD TV, AC, while the bathroom has both a shower and a bath, two sinks, a bidet, including all the necessary toiletries as well as a floor heating system.

On the same floor, there is another kitchen, a summer kitchenette of sorts, that is also fully equipped and decorated in a more rustic way. There we especially like one old kitchen cabinet that originally dated from the 1940s but has recently been refurbished. Inside this kitchen there is also a BBQ, as well as a dining table for eight.

On the third floor, which is an attic, you will find two more bedrooms. Each bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160x200), as well as a sofa that can easily be pulled out for an extra person to sleep on (90x190). Each bedroom in the attic has a bathroom with a shower.

Something to point out is that each floor of Villa Leto has a separate entrance as well as an internal staircase that connects the space as a whole, so that each floor is accessible by entrances from the outside and inside. The time you don’t spend on PDA, which this fairy simply inspires, you can play tag or hide and seek – with all these entrances and exits you will be hard to find and catch. When you get tired of love and games, you can relax on the fairytale outside terrace with views worthy of the best Hollywood romantic cowboy movies, only better. Since we know that all this experience will make you want some freshly grilled fish, there you will find another BBQ beside a handmade stone table for eight.

Finally, just a piece of information that Leto is completely enclosed with a stone wall + three parking spaces are at disposal to all villa guests. We like the fact that Leto in front of the villa has a garden with organic vegetables and a well with rainwater in the villa. You might also be interested to know that within walking distance of Villa Leto is Stori Komin, one of our favorite restaurants on the island with a small, but selected menu of local delicacies.
