Aether is an attractive family house with a pool, located at an ideal location for all guests who might want to listen to music during afternoon siestas or in the evenings without having neighbors come over to complain. The location is also great because you are within short walking distance to the sea, to the beach, to the town center and all the town facilities without actually being in the town center! For those of you who love to visit the town of Hvar often – you’ll need a 15-minute drive to get there. And you might not even want to go there once you fall in love with Stari Grad.

Villa Aether is a completely new house, built in 2012 and finished in 2018. It spans over 200m2 of interior at a plot covering 2200m2. Lots and lots of space with lots and lots of lovely, easygoing, positive energy.

You’ll reach the house from the town road, leave your car at the parking lot and climb several easy steps to get to the entrance. Here you’ll already see the gentle touch of the owner – it is visible in the garden, the lawn, among the olive trees, vegetables, and flowers. Yes, if you’re lucky enough to find seasonal vegetables, feel free to make a lovely salad for lunch.  

Let’s go back to the entrance. Once you open the door, you’ll see a short hallway with doors to the left and right. One of them leads to a small toilette for guests, whereas the other opens to a small storage room. In front of you, you’ll see the spacious area of the dining room with the kitchen and the living room. In the kitchen, there is another door that leads to a small pantry. The dining room continues onto the spacious living room with windows overlooking the garden with olive trees and other Mediterranean foliage.

The living room has several carefully selected pieces of furniture and details from all around the world, which add space warmth and coziness to the room. Sofa, in case of need, can be used as an auxiliary bed for two persons. The colors of the furniture are neutral, but far from monotonous, thanks to the pictures hanging on the walls. 

From the dining room, a large glass wall leads you to the heavenly garden with the pool – you, the water, the foliage, zen. Everything is where it’s supposed to be; you are here and now, just as you should be. Wood, stone, calming tones and shapes dominate the area. A gorgeous place created for uninterrupted life pleasures.

To the left of the area of the garden and terrace with the pool, you’ll see three extra rooms: an open kitchen with a stone fireplace and a dining room facing the pool and terrace, which can also serve as a lovely bar with high chairs (the owners did truly think of everything); next to it, there is a hot tub room with an additional bathroom with a shower tray; and finally, there is a small room for house maintenance supplies.

Let’s now go back to the dining room/living room area. Twenty or so steps lead you from this area to the first floor of the house. From the anteroom, you can enter three double bedrooms with matrimonial beds and en-suite bathrooms. Two of the rooms have shower trays, the third has a shower tray and a jacuzzi bathtub. Also, one bedroom has a balcony overlooking Stari Grad, whereas the other two have windows overlooking the garden with the pool.

What we particularly like about the first floor is the practical, spacious walk-in closet, something you don’t usually see in villas for rent, but we love it! Here we end our tour of Aether, a spacious house in which every detail perfectly complements the other; from wood to stone, from lighting fixtures, pictures, and pillows to cabinets, wallpapers, and playful chairs.

Aether has a certain something that cannot be described, yet it makes you fall in love with it at first sight.  It might be chemistry or even magic… Somehow we know you’ll love it.
