A winning combination!

The beaches on the island of Hvar are world famous and are one of the most popular places for people to spend their holidays on the island.

This is hardly surprising as Hvar offers some of the cleanest and refreshing water in the world, combined with the sunniest island in Europe. A winning combination!

Hvar also has a strong tradition of naturism, whic dates back several decades, and so-called FKK tourism is an important aspect of the island's tourism offer.

There are several dedicated beaches for naturists, but it is also not uncommon to find naturists is less discovered bays throughout the island.

One such discovery in 2011 led to a British lady winning The Guardian Readers Short Story of the Year - http://www.theguardian.com/travel/2011/nov/11/hvar-island-croatia-dalmatian-coast - for her beach tale on Hvar.

Hvar's FKK beaches received an international boosy in 2011, when CNN named Jerolim as the world's top naturist beach (and we would not disagree), and then Huffington Post named Kordovon Bay on Jerolim among the seven best secret FKK beaches in Europe earlier this year.

There are several FKK beaches on the island, as well as the option of FKK camping.

Vrboska is the best place to go to combine the two, although Mlaska near Sucuraj also has a separate FKK section.
