On Hvar, where I was born and where my roots lie deeply embedded, life is experienced through a different lens. The island is not simply a place to me - it is a presence. Its stone, its vegetation, its light, and its sea feel inseparable from who I am. They shape my sensibility and the way I understand beauty.

Living in such an extraordinary corner of the world naturally changes one’s perception. Over time, everything begins to reveal itself through the prism of refinement, harmony, and natural elegance.

The idea of beauty that has accompanied me throughout my life is not something constructed, but something lived. It has always been present, waiting for the moment to be shared with those who recognize it instinctively, who are drawn to places where authenticity and aesthetics exist in balance.

My work and my life are guided by this sensibility. Beauty is not a concept, but a way of being - something that gives meaning, direction, and quiet intensity to everyday life. It is what continues to inspire me and what defines everything I create.

There are moments, places, and spaces that move beyond appearance - where landscape, architecture, and atmosphere converge into something almost intangible. These are the moments I seek. They are the reason I remain devoted to this path.

Villas Hvar was born from this devotion.

It is a curated collection of exceptional private residences on the island - selected not only for their quality, but for their ability to evoke emotion. Each property is personally known to us, as are the people behind them. This is not a distant catalogue, but a carefully composed selection shaped through trust, familiarity, and time.

The guiding principle is simple: we only include what we truly love. Everything else follows naturally.

Our work is shared by a small team bound by the same sensibility. Dalibor, whose family originates from Hvar, chose to return to this rhythm of life - one defined by simplicity, authenticity, and connection to nature. I, Majda, was born here, and my life remains rooted in the same landscape that continues to inspire everything I do.

The Story of Villas Hvar

Our tourism agency began its activity in 2002 and has since been a vital part of the private accommodation offering on the island. We are deeply grateful to our first mentor, Mr. Antun Balić, who generously shared his extensive experience in the global tourism industry. Until 2012, our portfolio included approximately 2,000 different accommodation units across the entire island.

In 2012, ten years after our beginnings, we launched the Villas Hvar project - an exclusive online boutique collection - and, in doing so, finally and publicly acknowledged that our devotion to beauty is incurable. We were the first small local project of its kind in Croatia.

Villas Hvar carefully selects only the most beautiful, most distinctive, and highest-quality private accommodations on Hvar. We are personally acquainted with each property in our portfolio, as well as with their owners - not just recently, but from the very beginning.

The most important prerequisite when selecting a property for our collection is always, without exception, simple: we must fall in love with it. Everything else follows naturally - as a history of love.
